Welcome to Indoor Fins, a small fish store in the historic downtown of Northfield, MN!

Looking to set up or maintain a planted aquarium with nano fish? We’re a small town fish store specializing in nano fish and planted aquariums. We love helping new and experienced aquarists alike find success keeping low tech planted tanks with small tropical fish.

In addition to carrying the supplies you need to set up an aquarium. We also have a selection of aquascaping supplies. Driftwood, stone, and aquascaping tools like scissors and tweezers. We carry several brands of aquarium fertilizers including Aquarium Co-op’s Easy Green.

Come stop in and see what we have! Or check out or social media for the latest updates.

No cups.

This image displays the rack of 2.5 gallon aquariums that house betta fish at the Indoor Fins fish store. Each tank has a filter and lid.

We refuse to put bettas in cups or small bowls in our fish store. All of our bettas are in at least a 2.5 gallon tank with a filter or a larger community tank with suitable tankmates like small tetras.

We believe bettas deserve better than a cup or vase as their home. Even the 2.5 gallon tanks are too small for permanent housing. We encourage all betta keepers to get 5 gallon or larger for their betta fish.

Just because they survive in a vase,
doesn’t mean they’re thriving.
