Welcome to Indoor Fins, a small pet store in the historic downtown of Northfield, MN!
There is a changing of the guard at Northfield’s LFS!
After nearly a decade, Aquatic Pets Plus is closed its doors, but not before handing off the torch (and its fish) to Indoor Fins LLC. Don’t worry, we’re still small! Just two owners.
We’re looking forward to updating this store while still keeping its small-town charm.
We have many exciting plans for the future, but we will still carry the supplies you need for aquarium fish, reptiles, and amphibians! (like live crickets!)

What's new at the shop?
Changes to truly become Indoor Fins will be incremental. We want to take time to get to know our customers, rather than just move in and make sweeping changes based on a whim.
Over Christmas we reorganized the shop. Don’t hesitate to ask if you can’t find something you need, Natalie would be glad to show you! We will continue refining the layout over time.
An aquatic plant order should arrive soon! If you want a planted tank, stop in and see what we have!
A 90 gallon cube display tank is now in the shop and being set up!
The betta rack (where each betta will get 2.5 gallons) is about to take it’s earliest form. Eventually we hope to plumb it so the bettas get a shared sump filter, UV sterilization, and heated water. (The shop is a toasty 75F to keep the tanks a reasonable temperature without internal heating).

We are in the same spot Aquatic Pets Plus was, right between The Robin’s Egg and Antiques of Northfield. Across the street from Hogan Brothers and The Hideaway.
